Our beers have participated for the second time in one of the most recognized contests from the Beer world: The Brussels Beer Challenge, which this year has taken place in Leuven after the other two editions celebrated in Brussels and Liege. The results were known the last Sunday,  the 2nd of November and the good news was that our beers had obtained a very good response by the jury of the contest. Thus, the BIIR White IPA won the Gold Medal for the second time in a row, the BIIR 4B Oude Gueuze obtained the Silver Medal and the fruity BIIR Sweet Sour got a Honorable Mention, all of them according to their categories.

They jury of this celebrated contest was formed by a tasting panel of 60 international renowned beer connoisseurs, who in 2 days could taste 730 beers from all over the world. It was easy to recognize very renowned faces amongst the members of the jury such as John Brauer from The Brewers of Europe, the Beer journalist Melissa Cole or the Professor Research on Hops and Beer Denis de Keukeleire. The 730 beers were all evaluated according to the categories based on origin, typicity and style.

We are very happy with such good results, especially because is our first year in the Beer market and this contest is worldwide recognized. We take the chance to mention that this wouldn’t have been possible without our head brewer Gunther Bensch, who is a real master!
